I'm kinda sorta (but not really) cheating, because I did one of these for last weeks You:create, but blogger wasn't cooperating. I did the smaller two this week though, promise!
I've always enjoyed sewing cross stitch, and admired needlepoint embroidery, so I set to work to teach myself a few years ago how to do it.
This particular piece is very simple, comprising of only back-stitch and whipped back-stitch, (and some french knots) but I think it very beautiful.
Please excuse my crappy photos. I'm still learning how to use my camera.

I am giving them as an engagement gift... don't you think they tell a beautiful story about nurturing love?
Hop on over and see what else people are doing
::~just for fun~::
and add something of your own :)
The pattern was created by etsy seller September House and the pattern is the Seedling Trio.
They are based on some watercolours she made for her new baby's room.
Oh! How cute would that be to get as an engagement gift. I really like it and am highly impressed with your skills :)
Great job & gorgeous friend.
These are lovely! Esecially the idea of nurturing love...so sweet.
Lovely.
Visiting from You:Create. I am envious of your creative skills. I can't do this kind of hand work anymore - arthritis has done my hands in.
I like the #3 best. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! I've been watching a friend do embroidery, it brings back so many memories as a child. My mom and grandma taught me way back when!
Absolutely gorgeous! And what a great message for an engaged couple. You do beautiful work and I dig your blog design.
Girl, those are LOVELY. What a fun art... and love that you taught yourself to do it! I imagine it would be pretty relaxing to have to really focus on those tiny stitches and tune out the world for a moment.
