  1. When Seasons Change

    Friday 20 May 2011

I've almost forgotten what it's like to have seasons.

Where I live, we have two... The Wet, and The Dry.

    Pretty self explanatory.

We are in The Dry at the moment. Unlike down south, where the seasons gradually morph into the next, with beautiful shades of orange to silver grays; to have brilliant clusters of green emerge to live exultantly in the sunshine and so on and so on it goes... We go from hot, humid rain to... none.

The Dry this year came quickly, with it's one crisp morning, and left just as promptly. Sure, there's still no rain and the humidity is consideraby less, but it's dry, and hot, and we won't see any rain until November.

I lament the lack of variety.

But it's helpful that I only need to buy one uniform for the kids, and the equivalent of cold weather clothes is along sleeved cotton shirt. I'm forever grateful as to the handiness of always knowing how to dress in the mornings.

I never did learn how to layer properly. ;)

    The rules:
    1. Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.
    2. Link back to Lisa-Jo and invite others to join in.
    3. Go buck wild with encouragement for the five minuter who linked up before you.

    1.  Sometimes I wish we had less Seasons.  I try to embrace them all but it's hard.  Envy you. :)

I don't know about you darling, but it is rather cold out here tonight ... and I'm sure it will only get worse.  This is only the beginning of the Dry - it generally takes a while to kick in, :)  I've been ever so grateful the little one has been sleeping in until after 7, occasionally 7.30am, as I can generally handle the 22 - 24˚C cold-ness (with the long flannelette pjs on plus a jumper! lol).

    Thanks for chiming in :)

I really promote conversation here, and I only ask that you be considerate of others feelings, and remember that tone doesn't always translate well over type. An emoticon can work wonders! ;)
